Oct 2, 2011 Hasting Street Ballroom Detroit MI John Sinclair, the Detroit poet; 60s and 70s counterculture activist; leader of the White Panther Party; manager of MC5, the American rock band; subject of the 1971 "John Sinclair Freedom Rally" featuring John Lennon & Yoko Ono, Stevie Wonder, Pete Seeger, Phil Ochs, Archie Shepp & many others and long-time former New Orleans radio disc jockey; is still kicking and writing! A bunch of musicians and friends gathered to celebrate John's 70th birthday.
