R.I.P. Johnnie Bassett (b. 10/09/35 d. 08/04/12)

When I heard that Johnnie Bassett had passed, I began thinking about how much he loved to play the Blues. I thought of him with his guitar and his broad smile. And thought about the magic that came out of that guitar, and his singing, and his smile - it sure did make me smile too - inside. I saw Johnnie play more than 20 times - and he moved me, every single time! If you never heard him or performed with him you really missed out. If you did, you know what I'm talking about. Here's a few pictures of Mr. Johnnie Bassett - he was truly Detroit's Gentleman of the Blues - in every sense of those words!
